About 'Morfs (Template 2 - WIP)
Name of race: Myomorfs (My-o-morf). The name comes from the word "myomorpha," which is the suborder of species of mouse-like rodents. Geographical location: Myomorfs live in forested woodlands. But they can also be found in grasslands. Common physical attributes: Myomorfs are the same height as any average human man or woman and have hair of different colors on their heads like humans as well. Like ordinary mice, they are furry and have long, thin tails with scaly-looking skin. The males, as they age, tend to have beard-like whisps of fur along the bottom of their chins—on both the right and left sides. While the females don't. The myomorfs' fur, like "fancy mice," comes in a variety of colors: brown, orangey-red, grey, and even white. Their "hands" and feet have four digits with long nails. Weak and strong points: Myomorfs are skilled, omnivorous hunters and warriors with highly enhanced speed, agility, and stealth. Like field mice, myomorfs are highly skilled climbers and can

I got into the "Precious Moments" TV specials from watching the Christmas ones on VHS. My Mom's friend gave them to me. As I had said, I was looking for other Thanksgiving specials to make favorite out of. And I came across this "Precious Moments" Thanksgiving special on a DVD. I ordered it, watched it and now I love it. Of course, I wasn't sure if it was a Thanksgiving special, since the story is about a village of Indians and a village of pioneers stricken with an illness. The Only cure is a berry that grows on a bush below a mountain. Two boys from both sides, Johnny and Little Sparrow, must make the trek to get the healing berries with a little heavenly help from Timmy the Angel. So anyway, I think this special is great for Thanksgiving, and it's another favorite of mine.

Halloween Review #14: Seeing Ghosts
5/5 = Excellent! -- This is another great "Terrytoon" for Halloween (or any time), which is about a "gaggle" of ghosts scaring a house decorator (a character who looks like Practical Pig from Disney's "Three Little Pigs") and his dog away from their haunted house, when they had learned that the property the house is on is now sold and that the decorator has come to fix up the house. I really thought the animation in this cartoon was great. Though I had noticed after watching other Terrytoons, that some of the graphics and animation on the ghosts were from a couple of Gandy Goose and Sourpuss cartoons that were made during World War II. But in those cartoons, they were not great for me. Of course, in this cartoon they are perfect, especially at the beginning. I am sorry to say that I have nothing else to say about this cartoon other than the animation is terrifyingly perfect (sorry to repeat "perfect"). So anyway, I thought this was another favorite Terrytoon, and as I said

Halloween Review #13: The Tell-Tale Heart
5/5 = Excellent! -- Here is another creepy cartoon for the Halloween season. A surreal but still horrific combination of UPA's animation and narration by actor James Mason (Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea). I had never seen this cartoon before until I found it on YouTube. After that, I thought it was another awesome UPA cartoon as well as a favorite. Also, I'd like to point out that I didn't know that UPA, which is known for the famous "Mr. Magoo" cartoons, had done something so... dark and mature, if those are the right words to sum up this short. The short was even nominated for an Academy Award for Best Short Subject. So anyway, all I have to say is that this short is definitely worth seeing on Halloween and is another UPA favorite.

Halloween Review #12: The Haunted Mansion
5/5 = Excellent! I had been on the Haunted Mansion ride as a kid in Disneyland, and I loved it. I was really psyched that there was going to be a movie based on the ride after seeing the trailer. Then I went to see it with my mom; after that, I loved it! The film starts when husband-and-wife realtors Jim and Sara Evers, with their children Michael and Megan, visit Gracey Manor; after Sara received a phone call that the owner is selling the house, workaholic Jim thinks it's a "golden opportunity" for their real estate business. Mr. Gracey is smitten with Sara at Gracey Manor, and they discover that Sara resembles Mr. Gracey's old girlfriend Elizabeth, who died young, and they believe it was suicide... or was it? That's all I'm telling you, folks. You will have to see it for yourself. So much humor, gothic scenery, and hints of horror make this film a delight to watch over and over again. Though I am still shocked by the negativity towards it.

The Mouse on the Mayflower (Review)
5/5 = Excellent! I was looking for other good Thanksgiving specials to make favorites. I came across this one from none other than Rankin/Bass. I manage to order a copy (on VHS, that is), and after I've watched it, I know it is another must-see and favorite from Rankin/Bass. There is not much to tell about the story except that it is the story of the Mayflower voyage from the point of view of a church mouse, Willum. I love that there are traces of Longfellow's "The Courtship of Miles Standish"; that's one of my favorite poems. Another thing I love about this special is that one of my favorite anime studios, Toei Animation, helped out with the animation. Believe it or not, the key animation was done by the great Hayao Miyazaki, who started out at Toei; I looked it up on Wikipedia. So overall, "Mouse on the Mayflower" is another Thanksgiving favorite and must-see for other Rankin/Bass fans.
