Literature Text

A cold wind blows.
The raven caws.
a moonless night.
In the desolate hakaba,*
There were cackles and eerie cuffles.
Obake and Yokai appear.
Not one human will sleep well.
knowing it's Yokai's night.

* - means graveyard

For this latest poem, I thought I would try my hand at a lushi thanks to NathanielFlyingOwl  [link] . But it didn't come out right.  ^^;  I was trying hard to think of a topic for it, but then I thought of the spooky opening to Gegege no Kitarō (60s version), and so now this a free-verse yōkai poem.
