Description
The latest "linked screencap" I had done in a long while. It's a "Gegege no Kitaro" linked-cap from episode #90 of the 1996 version. But let's start from the beginning:
Incidents of people disappearing in the mountain-pass tunnel have become frequent that the inn-keeper was worried about it and had gone to the tunnel as well. Nezumi-Otoko appeared to "help out", and had gone along with the inn-keeper to the tunnel; but got kidnapped as well! It turns out the people including the inn-keeper are kidnapped by the yōkai Buruburu ([link]). Fortunately Kitaro is on the case and manage to get Nezumi and the others out with the help of the inn-keeper's son...That's all I could remember; it wasn't subbed.
Anyway, the caps is from the scene where that sneaky Buruburu hid in Nezumi-Otoko's stomach and Tsurubebi ([link]) came with Sunakake-Baba. Buruburu struggle inside and Baba gave Kitaro special X-Ray glasses to see; that's what the green is. The exorcism had worked and Buruburu left Nezumi's stomach and was caught by Kitaro's chanchanko and Tsurubebi...melted her?
You know, I was torn about whether to love the 60s or the 90s version of the "Tōge no yōkai" (the Buruburu story). Like in that version, I thought...it was pretty sneaky of Buruburu to be hidin' in Nezumi-Otoko's stomach when they prisoners escape that...warp of her's. And when Tsurubebi was used to get her out, the X-Ray specks that let Kitaro see Buruburu strugglin' within and escape up the esophagus. Also...it...it distresses me to see Nezumi in pain; =^^= like I'm already a character there. Though I still love the 60s version and I'd written it down my "favorite episodes" list. And I have a "so it is written, so it shall be" thing. I'm also sorry for the sucky quality of the screencaps.
